Olivia was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, where she grew up with her four siblings. In 2020, she moved to Toronto to pursue her passion for creative industries at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), studying business and marketing with a focus on the fashion and music industries. 

 

During the early days of her studies, when classes were held online, Olivia lived in California assisting with the launch of a lifestyle product brands. This experience allowed her to hone her entrepreneurial and creative skills while embracing California’s vibrant culture. 

 

With over six years of experience in the hospitality industry, Olivia has developed exceptional people skills and a keen ability to adapt to dynamic settings. Her professional journey also includes an internship at a wellness brand, as a marketing coordinator, where she excelled in creating and executing promotional strategies, managing brand communications through social media and blogs, visual merchandising, organizing photoshoots, and planning email marketing campaigns. 

 

At TMU, Olivia took the lead in event production for major fashion showcases. These roles involved end-to-end responsibilities, including event planning, marketing, budgeting, coordinating, and execution—demonstrating her ability to manage complex projects with creativity and precision. 

 

In 2023, Olivia’s passion for travel and cultural immersion led her to Stuttgart, Germany, for a semester abroad. This experience was a highlight of her academic career, allowing her to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and broaden her global perspective. 

 

After graduating in June 2024, Olivia joined Bassett Events, bringing her expertise in event management, hospitality, and digital marketing to the team. Olivia is passionate about creating memorable experiences through innovative event planning and thrives in roles that allow her to combine her creativity, organizational skills, and love for connecting with people from all walks of life.
